13th International Plant Cold Hardiness Seminar

The Organizing Committee of the International Plant Cold Hardiness Seminar (IPCHS) is pleased to launch this website for all who are planning to participate or who are interested in this conference which will be held in Clermont-Ferrand (France) from August 26 to 30, 2024. We cordially invite all of you to join these vital and fruitful discussions in the field of plant cold hardiness research. 

​Since the first meeting in St. Paul, USA, in 1977, IPCHS had been held in many cities in different countries. And this time, it will be held in France for the first time.

​Further understanding of fundamental aspects of the nature of plant cold hardiness will likely contribute to the advancement of science well as to the welfare of human and other lives on Earth. At the IPCHS, participants will bring recent findings together and present up-to-the-minute views of active research programs in plant cold hardiness or related fields. The Seminar will include lectures, selected presentations and poster sessions by any one who want to share his point of view in this field.

Nota bene For young researchers (students and recent PhDs), a lecture series by senior researchers for will be held, aiming to transfer knowledge and promote free and vigorous discussions, the week before the meeting. More information here
