His fields of expertise are quite broad and include forest ecology, plant physiology and environmental biology. He is interested in various scientific questions related to microclimate, plant growth, phenology, environmental stress and population dynamic of temperate plants, especially in the context of ongoing climate warming and human disturbances. As a phenologist, he is particularly interested in the impact of climate change (urbanisation and warming) on tree phenology and, above all, by the transfer of scientific knowledge to a broad audience.
